Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
This is a legal agreement. The key points: the Service is an informational tool, not legal advice. AI features may have errors. Credit card coverage info must be verified with your issuer. Your data is yours. See our Refund Policy for billing details.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using WarrantyPocket (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, free tier users, and paid subscribers.
2. Description of Service
WarrantyPocket is a digital warranty management application. The Service helps users store purchase receipts and warranty documents, track warranty expiration dates, identify potential credit card extended warranty coverage, generate claim documentation, sync reminders to Google Calendar, and receive email notifications about upcoming expirations.
The Service uses artificial intelligence to extract information from uploaded documents and to generate product insights. AI features are provided by third-party services (see Section 12) and are subject to the limitations described in Section 8.
The Service is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) that runs in web browsers and can be installed on devices. Certain features, including push notifications and offline access, depend on browser and device support and may not be available on all platforms.
WarrantyPocket is an informational tool. It is not legal advice, insurance, or a guarantee of warranty coverage. See Section 9 for important disclaimers.
3. User Accounts
To use the Service, you must create an account using email and password, magic link, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. Email verification is required for password-based signups.
You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, notify us immediately of unauthorized access, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
WarrantyPocket offers three tiers:
Free ($0, no time limit): 10 warranty items, 10 AI scans per month, email reminders, basic claim guidance, search and filter, repair tracking, archive and soft delete.
Standard ($5/month or $40/year): 50 warranty items, 50 AI scans per month, full claim assistant with email send and claim pack export, data export (ZIP, CSV, JSON), push and email reminders, weekly digest, full credit card coverage details.
Pro ($10/month or $80/year): 100 warranty items, 100 AI scans per month, unlimited claim pack exports, Google Calendar sync, bulk CSV import, AI analytics, priority support, plus everything in Standard.
Feature limits and pricing may change. We will notify active subscribers of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel. We send renewal reminder emails before each charge: 3 days before monthly renewals, 7 days before annual renewals.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through Settings > Account > Manage Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any illegal purpose, upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content, attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission, resell or redistribute the Service without authorization, upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, or store or share illegal, fraudulent, or counterfeit documentation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of everything you upload to the Service, including receipts, warranty documents, photos, and other files.
By uploading content, you grant WarrantyPocket a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service to you. This includes sending your uploaded documents to AI services for extraction and classification (see Section 12), generating thumbnails and previews, including your content in claim packs and data exports you request, and attaching your content to claim emails you initiate.
We do not sell, share, or use your content for advertising. When you delete your account or content, it is removed in accordance with Section 11.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including text, graphics, logos, icons, software, and design, are the property of WarrantyPocket and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The credit card benefit information displayed in the Service is compiled from publicly available sources. This information is provided for your convenience and does not represent proprietary data of any card issuer.
8. AI-Powered Features
The Service uses artificial intelligence to extract warranty information from uploaded documents, classify document types, generate product thumbnails, and analyze warranty portfolios.
AI features are powered by third-party services (currently OpenAI and Hugging Face). Your uploaded content is sent to these services for processing. This processing happens server-side and the content is not stored by these providers beyond what is needed to complete the request.
AI is not perfect. You acknowledge that AI extraction results may contain errors or inaccuracies, you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-extracted information before relying on it, confidence scores are provided to help you identify uncertain extractions, and WarrantyPocket is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated information.
AI feature availability and the specific AI models used may change over time.
9. Important Disclaimers
WarrantyPocket is not a law firm, insurance provider, or financial advisor. The Service provides general information to help you manage your warranties. It does not provide legal advice, insurance coverage, or financial guidance.
Credit card coverage information: The Service displays information about credit card extended warranty benefits based on publicly available data. This information is general in nature and may not reflect your specific card's current terms. Credit card issuers change their benefit terms at any time. You must verify coverage details with your card issuer before filing a claim. WarrantyPocket is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any credit card issuer.
Consumer rights information: The Know Your Warranty Rights page and related content provide general educational information about US consumer protection laws. This information may not apply to your specific situation or state. Laws vary by jurisdiction. For legal questions, consult a qualified attorney.
Claim guidance: The claim assistant, pre-drafted emails, and claim strength scoring are informational tools. We do not guarantee any claim outcome. Filing decisions and claim communications are your responsibility.
Third-party links: The Service contains links to third-party websites including government agencies, credit card issuers, and consumer organizations. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites.
Store and product references: Any mention of specific stores, brands, manufacturers, or retailers in the Service is for informational purposes only. WarrantyPocket is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any store, brand, manufacturer, or retailer.
10. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase (which uses Amazon Web Services). Files are encrypted at rest. All data transmission uses TLS encryption.
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical warranty documents. The Service provides a data export feature (Settings > Export) that allows you to download a complete backup of your data at any time (available on Standard and Pro plans).
We recommend keeping original paper receipts for high-value purchases alongside your digital copies. Under US federal law (E-SIGN Act, 2000), digital receipts have the same legal standing as paper originals. However, some manufacturers or retailers may have their own requirements.
Soft-deleted items are retained for 30 days before permanent removal. Archived items are retained indefinitely until you delete them.
11. Account Termination and Data Deletion
You may request account deletion by contacting support@warrantypocket.com. Upon receiving your request, we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. You may export your data before requesting deletion.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, if your account is used for fraudulent or illegal activity, or if required by law. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.
Upon termination by us, you may request a data export within 30 days by contacting support@warrantypocket.com. After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted.
Cancellation of a paid subscription does not delete your account. Your account continues on the free tier with your data intact.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following third-party services to operate:
Supabase: Authentication, database, file storage, and server-side functions.
OpenAI: AI-powered receipt extraction, document classification, and warranty analysis.
Hugging Face: AI-powered product thumbnail generation.
Resend: Email delivery for reminders, digests, and claim correspondence.
Google Calendar API: Optional warranty expiry reminder sync (requires your authorization).
PostHog: Product analytics including page views and feature usage.
LemonSqueezy: Payment processing for subscriptions (when available).
Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these providers. We select providers that meet reasonable security and privacy standards, but we are not responsible for their actions or policies.
When you connect Google Calendar, you authorize WarrantyPocket to create, update, and delete warranty reminder events in a dedicated calendar in your Google account. You can disconnect this integration at any time through Settings.
When you initiate a claim email through the Service, the email is sent on your behalf to the recipient you specify. Your email address is included as the reply-to address so responses come directly to you.
13. Communications
By creating an account, you consent to receive the following emails from WarrantyPocket:
Account-related emails: welcome email, password reset, cancellation confirmation, and other transactional communications.
Warranty reminders: expiry notifications at intervals you configure in Settings.
Weekly digest: summary of upcoming expirations and items needing attention (paid tiers).
You can manage your notification preferences in Settings > Notifications. You can disable reminder emails and weekly digests at any time. Account-related transactional emails cannot be disabled while your account is active.
We do not send marketing or promotional emails unless you explicitly opt in.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, results obtained from the Service (including AI extraction) will be accurate or reliable, or defects in the Service will be corrected.
Service availability may be affected by maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Certain features depend on browser and device capabilities and may not function identically on all platforms.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WarrantyPocket shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use or inability to use the Service, any unauthorized access to your account or data, any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-extracted information, any reliance on credit card coverage information or consumer rights content provided through the Service, any third-party actions or policies, or any interruption or cessation of the Service.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to liability, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is greater.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WarrantyPocket, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, content you upload to the Service, claim emails you send through the Service, or your infringement of any rights of any third party.
17. Billing Disputes
If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, please contact us at support@warrantypocket.com before contacting your bank or card issuer. We keep records of account activity, subscription changes, cancellation requests, renewal reminders, and billing communications. We can typically resolve billing issues within 2 business days.
We provide these records to payment processors or financial institutions when needed to resolve disputes. Filing a dispute with your bank for a legitimate charge that could have been resolved through our support process may result in account suspension pending resolution.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of North Macedonia. The language of proceedings shall be English or Macedonian.
For users in the European Union: These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under applicable EU consumer protection laws, including your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
For users in the United States: These Terms do not affect your rights under applicable federal and state consumer protection laws.
The Service is operated from the Republic of North Macedonia. Your data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this data transfer.
19. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice in the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WarrantyPocket concerning the Service.
